Ross and Rachel. Jim and Pam. Mulder and Scully. Tom Hanks and that volleyball. And, of course, Meredith and Alexi—a “will-they-won’t-they” tale as old as time, brimming with serendipity, sparks, and just the right amount of unresolved tension.

Their story begins in January 2018, at the Denver Women’s March.

Meredith, an up-and-coming brand strategist with a can-do attitude and a clear sense of purpose, met up with her group of equally passionate, progressively-minded friends to make their voices heard on the streets of Denver.

Alexi—a classic Byronic hero with a brooding, enigmatic charm that made everyone a little curious and maybe a little wary—was invited by their mutual friend, the effortlessly likable Kevin Loreko.

As fate would have it, Meredith and Alexi’s paths crossed amidst the charged energy of the march. That day, they were two people from different worlds, united for a cause—but their story was only beginning.

The two went on a few dates in the Spring of 2018, but the timing wasn't right... so they parted as friends who awkwardly bumped into each other every few months around town and at social gatherings.

Until Christmas 2020.

Call it fate or call it a calculated matchmaking scheme reminiscent of The Parent Trap during a year when no one was traveling home for the holidays—but Meredith and Alexi found themselves reunited over cocktails on that snowy Christmas Day. They bantered merrily into the wee hours of the night, and finally the timing felt right.

Days later, Alexi offered to help Meredith paint a room in her condo. She was very impressed with his astonishingly efficient roller skills and they have barely separated for a moment since.
